Dozens of employees in the state administration will be cut from their duties.

In the decision made today by the Council of Ministers, the ministries that are affected by the cut are the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture and the number of reserve employees. We remind you that the Ministry of Culture has merged with the Ministry of Economy and the cuts are due to restructuring.

Decision:

AN ADDITION AND REALLOCATION OF THE NUMBER OF ORGANIC EMPLOYEES IN THE APPARATUS OF SOME CENTRAL GOVERNMENT UNITS FOR THE YEAR 2024

In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and Article 12 of Law No. 97/2023, "On the 2024 Budget", with the proposal of the Minister of Finance, the Council of Ministers

DECIDE:

The number of employees of the ministry responsible for finance, approved in the 2024 budget, is reduced by 113 (one hundred and thirteen) employees.
The number of employees of the apparatus of the ministry responsible for culture, approved in the 2024 budget, is reduced by 91 (ninety one) employees.
The number of reserve employees of the approved budget for 2024 is reduced by 71 (seventy-one) employees, bringing the total number of reserve employees to 29 (twenty-nine) people.
The number of employees mentioned in points 1, 2 and 3, of this decision, is allocated to the apparatus of the ministry responsible for economy, culture and innovation, and the number of employees for this ministry becomes 275 (two hundred and seventy-five) people.
The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation are charged with the implementation of this decision.
This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".
