LATEST NEWS/ Rama warns of Spiropal's expulsion, here's what he said
Edi Rama/ Elisa Spiropali

Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced the expulsion of MP Elisa Spiropali from the Parliamentary Group, following her positions and posts on social networks.

Rama, during his speech at the end of this Monday's meeting, spent a few minutes on Spiropali, mentioning her absence from the voting and the public reactions.

"The first time you didn't come to vote. The second time you made a mistake (referring to the Facebook post) and the third time you don't, you're out of this group," Rama is reported to have said, warning him of expulsion from the parliamentary group.

The Prime Minister, according to the same sources, also emphasized that "drama cannot be created" in the party, addressing Spiropali directly:

"You can't make dramas in the work of the party, and that's why I'm addressing you, Elisa. I don't want you to create situations in the party. The party has two colors, black and white. Either white and with us, or black and against us."

Rama further added that this was a response to her posts on social networks. At the end of the meeting, according to sources, Elisa Spiropali asked to take the floor, but was not allowed.

"You can't reply here, you don't have a say anymore, the Socialist Party and I are invested in you," the prime minister is reported to have said at the end of the discussion.
