BREAKING NEWS/ Belinda Balluku takes the helm of the SP campaign for the
Belinda Balluku

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku , has been appointed the leader of the Socialist Party for the by-election campaign in Tirana.

This is the next move regarding the organization of early elections in the capital, following the sensational dismissal of Erion Veliaj from the Municipal Council, a decision that is expected to be sealed today by the Council of Ministers, at 12:00.

Less than 24 hours later, Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting yesterday, September 24, with the municipality staff and the acting mayor, Anuela Ristani. Also present was Ogerta Manastirliu, the official SP candidate for this position.

We did not learn much from this closed-door meeting at the Prime Minister's Office, while at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, the discussion about the by-elections in the capital continued with the presence of the media.

In his meeting with socialist MPs and ministers, the head of government emphasized that Veliaj's dismissal was necessary, signaling the urgency for new elections.
