Doctor Ilir Alimehmeti was invited to the News24 studio where he was asked by moderator Ola Bruko if he would run for mayor of Tirana in the opposition ranks against Ogerta Manastirliu.

Alimehmeti says he has a 4-year program, while there is only 1 year left, after the early elections expected to take place this fall.

Ilir Alimehmeti: I think it works in the opposite direction. Each candidate presents a political plan. Then it is up to the mayor and the presidency to decide who is the most correct and appropriate. My project is a 4-year project together with the municipal council with a development program. This is my project. If selected, we have a range of actions towards 2027.
