DP leader Sali Berisha said that the last session where the government approved the program without debate " should be thrown in the trash ."
Berisha described this session as one of the most unprecedented and shameful events in the country's parliamentary history.
According to him, the government is acting in a secretive and non-transparent manner, avoiding open debate and voting for reasons related to possible investigations against senior local officials.
According to him, the previous hearing "was held to mask 18 Erion Veliaj."
The former Prime Minister addressed the Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, telling him "you have set the blackest record in the history of European parliamentarism."
Sali Berisha: The only act this session can do about those minutes is to throw the session and the minutes in the trash. They will remain in the archives of this state as the most shameful minutes in its entire history.
And this shame will cover those who held a session like that, unprecedented, and did it solely to hide, to mask 18 Erionë Veliaj.
You could never do this to your country. I'm quoting the Constitution here. But you could never do that to your country, because a group of irresponsible people, who are ashamed and afraid of themselves, of the ray of light and transparency, seek to pass without transparency, without voting, without anything.
You marked the blackest record in the history of Albanian parliamentarism, in the history of Europe, in the history of the world, of any regime.
So, return the session, let the session take place. Let the Constitutional Court not return it, but let the parliament return it and let developments take place. Those who are afraid of themselves, let them run away, let them run away.
They are afraid to appear before the citizens for their sins, for the thefts they have committed. This is not our responsibility, it is theirs.
