The Democratic Party has denounced that the government is giving a concession for 20 years to the Palace of Brigades with secret procedures, which is a public asset.

Through a statement from the blue headquarters, the head of Organization in DP, Klevis Balliu, declared that this is an invention of Rama, which satisfies his pseudo-artistic ego and the narrow circle of beneficiaries.

Balliu further added that where there is silence there is also a trick, and according to him, nothing other than trickery explains keeping it secret, not consulting, neither with the experts, nor with the public.

Regarding this concession, Balliu addressed several questions to Rama, such as: Why no consultation? Why with secret procedures? Who will be the managers? And, are the 'usual suspects' involved in this project

The complex that was built as a royal residence, turned into the Palace of the Brigades, and finally a government residence, will now become the "Belvedere of the oligarchs".

The government has decided, in a non-transparent, even secret way, to transfer a public asset to private management for 20 years.

Imitating both the concession model of Butrint and its violation and illegality, the government does not stop at the stupidity to hate everything public, and the greed to personally profit from every common national asset.

The Democratic Party strongly emphasizes that there is no such model of leasing public assets in the world, and this is an invention of Rama, which satisfies his pseudo-artistic ego and the narrow circle of beneficiaries.

Where there is silence there is also a trick, and nothing but trickery explains the secrecy, the non-consultation, neither with the experts, nor with the public.

For national assets, national consultation is needed.

The Prime Minister announces false consultations on the separation of Albania from North Macedonia, a decision in which the Albanians have zero say.

When it comes to the wealth, which is theirs, and about which the opinion and decision belongs to them, he distributes it according to his appetite and in secret.

The Democratic Party asks the public not to fall into the trap of propaganda that "the Palace is opening for the people".

The questions are and remain:

Why no consultation?

Why with secret procedures?

Who will be the managers?

And, are the 'usual suspects' involved in this project, which looks like nothing less than another corruption affair.
