Where did the leaders of Kosovo and Albania go wrong?

The celebrations for the 110th anniversary of Independence started from Vlora, where the ceremony of raising the red and black flag took place in Flag Square. This 110th anniversary of the second of November brought together the highest heads of the Albanian and Kosovo states, who participated in the ceremony, while also paying homage at Ismail Qemali's grave.

President Bajram Begaj, Prime Minister Edi Rama, Speaker of the Parliament of Albania, Lindita Nikolla, Mayor Dritan Leli, as well as the heads of state of Kosovo, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani and the President took part in the festive ceremony for the raising of the flag. of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca.

But what got the attention of this whole event was the speech of the Albanian leaders, the day before, at the joint meeting of the two assemblies, Albania-Kosovo, in Tirana, and not mentioning the historical president, Ibrahim Rugova, and not recognizing any merit for the creation of the state of Kosovo.

This was obviously a rather low mark on the part of the governors, as we all know that the contribution of President Rugova remains irreplaceable. Undoubtedly, the "warm hospitality" from Prime Minister Rama was what got the attention of the public opinion, as we know that his relations with Vucic continue to be close.

All this makes you think if that organization was a failure, if we can call it for the government of Albania? He said that there was an initiative to be unique for the sake of Albania's independence, but that the differences in this were noticed from the beginning, since they did not remember the contribution of President Rugova.

"Despite the efforts to appear unique to the Albanians, there are deep divergences between the leaders in Albania and Kosovo. Likewise, there are differences within the borders of one or the other Albanian state. The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo and the Prime Minister, why not the President, have the obligation to honor the prominent figures of our country, undoubtedly Ibrahim Rugova and Adem Jashari stand on the pedestal", said the analyst. Among other things, he also mentioned Rama who, according to the analyst, tried to play the role of "Father of the Nation", writes ' Bota Sot '.

"In this context, I think that if visits already happen, then the list should be expanded and none of them should be overlooked, because this is the only way to remove the barriers of political divisions. This is the only way we serve the unity of the nation. As for the participation of the two presidents, I think that there was a contest of protagonism against the two prime ministers, so it is better that they did not participate", concluded Duhanaj.
