Anticorruption Commission, Rama: It was seen as an initiative for the capture of
Prime Minister Edi Rama

The Socialsite party gathered today the Parliamentary Group, where the chairman of this political force, Edi Rama, was also present. The focus of Rama's speech was the anti-corruption commission as well as reforms for EU membership.

Prime Minister Edi Rama denied the accusations that the parliamentary anti-corruption commission is an attempt to capture the justice reform, while he said that the country needs a new wave of reforms to advance the integration process.

"It was unfairly imagined as an attempt by the SP to control justice. I want to elaborate a little more on the main reasons for the establishment of the 'Anti-corruption' commission and the necessity of a new wave of reforms that does not only deal directly with the government, but also with the independent institutions. All the material to understand the initiative is found in the documents drawn up during and at the end of the process of diagnosis of Albania, a process that in the language of the EU, is called screening of the state of organization of the state. It is certainly followed by the recipes to cure that organism to the end, enabling the preparation for the membership of the state in the EU to be completed with a completely clear and successful diagnosis lasted for 14 months and involved 157 institutions", said Rama.

Rama also presented what he called "some of the achievements of the government and institutions" within the framework of Albania's membership in the European Union.

"In fact, the government leads the process and has an important part of the work to make the country ready for membership. But the EU does not negotiate with the government, it negotiates with the Albanian state and 157 institutions are part of the entire composition of our national team that negotiates with the EU . 32 independent institutions are included in this list. To ensure that the diagnosis goes to the cell, there are an extraordinary number of explanatory meetings. 67 such meetings were held in Brussels presentations by Albania at the negotiating table and 232 meetings of inter-institutional working groups.

All these figures are necessary to read the whole panorama. This is necessary because of this special parliamentary committee. To get further into the content, I want to touch on some of the presentations. There are a number of chapters from the basics and which have as main themes transformed into presentations public anti-corruption policies, prevention of corruption with deputies, judges, control of assets, public services, public prosecution, private business. The negotiation process is not only the direct involvement of the state in this round of negotiations, but also the involvement of the entire way of business operation in the EC lens.

And the relevant measures for the state to take so that the business is integrated into the general framework of a state in the EU. Financial investigation, fight against crime, anti-fraud,. Cooperation with OLAF, the EU structure for monitoring agricultural subsidies. We continue with the supervision of the internal market, money laundering, social security, the postal and delivery sectors, industrial property rights," said Rama.
