The PD parliamentary group in today's meeting did not take a decision on the draft for the election of the President.

After the meeting, the head of the group, Enkelejd Alibeaj stated that the draft is not final, and will not be submitted to tomorrow's meeting, where according to him, tomorrow there will be no negotiations with the majority. Alibeaj has given time to the deputies who were not part of the meeting to give their opinion.

Regarding the conditions that the new President must meet, Alibeaj said that the non-negotiable condition is that the head of state be anti-communist, while other conditions mentioned decriminalization or being incorruptible.

Do të vazhdojë që ky draft t’u jepet të gjithë deputetëve që ata të mbajnë qëndrimin e tyre të qartë. Nuk kemi dëshirë për të imponuar. Ne kemi edhe dëshirën edhe zemërgjersinë për sugjerime konstruktive, Jam i autorizuar të them një gjë që është e pacedueshme. Anti-komunist! Kam njohur shumë që kanë vuajtur dhe kanë mbajtur qëndrime të forta. Që i bëjnë nder këtij vendi. Do ishte respekti maksimal ndaj të shkuarës dhe një reagim ndaj mungesës së kujtesës dhe pendesës. Megjithatë duke qenë se jam vetëm një prej deputetëve të grupit parlamentar e kam maturinë për të mos artikuluar se sa të jemi më tepër për një proces.

Një nga kriteret e propozuar në draft është që presidenti të mos jetë pjesë e jetës politike aktive tani. Sepse nuk do ishte gjë tjetër veçse t’i jepje kundërshtarit mundësinë të zgjedhë një figurë të veten. Dua ta sqaroj që me 22 deputetë që ishin prezent plotësohet kuorumi”, u shpreh Alibeaj.

I pyetur për mendimin e Lulzim Bashës lidhur me draftin për presidentin, Alibeaj tha se kanë folur bashkë dhe ia ka dhënë mendimin e tij.
