For journalist Blendi Fevziu, Prime Minister Edi Rama has no interest in electing a consensual president. Even, according to Fevzi, Rama he has clear the name of the new president.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Fevziu described as mediocre the last political roundtable between the majority and the opposition, where, as he said, issues of dates were discussed instead of names and profiles.
"Edi Rama has no interest in electing a president by consensus. I think that Edi Rama has an idea not only of the characteristics, but also of the name of the president. There has been a steady decline in the election of the president in recent years. The last table is miserable, without a political dose and more mediocre. I heard MPs discussing date issues, every four days or 7 days. All conversations about the president have been about names. There is no table for the election of the president live on TV. "As soon as the cameras appear, the deputies make a political theater", said Fevziu.
The journalist said that the DP has to sit at the negotiating table if we are talking about a serious process, while he suggested that the proposal be a woman since Albania has never had a woman president.
