Former Democratic Party MP Ervin Salianji has reacted after the Supreme Court's decision which left in force the security measure "prison arrest".

Through a post on Facebook, Salianji says that Tuesday's decision by the Supreme Court was expected and he is not surprised at all.

"The imposition of a punishment instigated, requested and devised by Edi Rama, drafted by him, announced by him in Parliament, ardently defended by him, is the short and convenient path that the Supreme Court chose today. They have no professional ethics nor the minimal courage to provide justice and enter into conflict with Edi Rama," writes Salianji, among other things.

I am not surprised by the Supreme Court's decision.

Leaving into force a punishment instigated, requested and devised by Edi Rama, drafted by him, announced by him in Parliament, ardently defended by him, is the short and convenient path that the Supreme Court chose today. They have no professional ethics nor the minimal courage to provide justice and enter into conflict with Edi Rama.

This is a line of conduct.

If the Supreme Court were a guarantee of justice, a guarantee of due and lawful legal process, even the courts below would not dare to sign the farces that are being signed.

My political punishment is done to eliminate me from the political battle!

In every confrontation, I have defeated Edi Rama and his gang. Most recently in Kavaja in the victory of the municipality, and everywhere else.

My political conviction is an open threat to anyone who fights crime, corruption, and the mafia in power.

My political conviction is an open support for the mafia and international traffickers. The time chosen to give the decision one day before the announcement of the lists is also a threatening message to anyone who dares to speak the truth!

In these times of shame parades, times of serious financial affairs, I have zero corruption, zero charges for a single penny. Therefore, imprisonment for denunciation, for the word, is a medal.

I am proud of my battles in the interest of the people. I chose uncompromising struggle from the beginning and the citizens have supported me for this.

The trials against me will go down in historical shame, as a case of using justice for personal revenge by Rama and Xhafaj.

They started by paying fake witnesses, police directors were caught in wiretaps paying the fake witness, they manipulated the courts by appointing a judge first Aldo Bare's soldier, then Belinda Balluku's sister-in-law and the former SP representative in the CEC, and today, by manipulating the lottery in the High Court, they replaced the judicial body and left to judge me the former Minister of Justice of the Socialist Party and a communist, the son of the former director of deportations and internments and former first secretary!

These are not the institutions we deserve, they are not a state of law nor the rule of law.

For anyone who is concerned, I tell them to take the advance and the delay and the decision against it in the Constitutional Court, and then we will see what the law will be like in Strasbourg.

I will fight and seek justice until the end. Albania will be a better country when there is justice, when the Courts have the courage to deliver justice even when the autocrat does not like it.

This good place may seem like a utopia, but the day is not far off when citizens will have the final say on justice.

Despite the isolation, together we will fight for a decent and normal Albania where the law rules! Personally, I choose battle and not squabbles!

I have earned the honor and respect of the citizens, the shame and disgust are borne by the autocrat's "prisoners" with their daily corruption, who have neither conscience nor courage to even go to the toilet without his permission!
