Charles McGonigal 's former partner , Allison Guerriero, has commented on political expert George Papadopoulos ' post , as the latter published a photo of the former FBI counterintelligence chief with Prime Minister Rama, taken at the prime minister's office.
In the comment, Guerriero writes that after 2017, the relationship with McGonigal turned into a nightmare, a period where he traveled to the Balkans and sent messages not only to her but also to other people, creating suspicions about the activity he was carrying out.
She further adds that in January 2020 she decided to publish a photo of McGonigal on Twitter, accompanied by a caption where he appeared to be accepting bribes. At the end of the comment she adds that she was forced to delete the post on her page.
"I have that too. Charles McGonigal was my boyfriend and he sent messages to me and a few others from the Balkans while he was there in September 2017.
When I was trying to turn him in to the FBI he started terrorizing me. Finally, one night in January 2020 I realized I had nothing to lose, so I used that photo and posted it on Twitter with the caption saying something along the lines of Charlie accepting bribes I am giving FBI and US sources to people who are against the US.
I tagged the FBI and FBI New York in it. Almost 2 years later, when I was served with the first GJ subpoena on this matter for the DDC investigation, FBI agents came to my house, showed me the post I made, and asked me about it.

However, the post no longer existed on my page. I had to delete it. Charlie and I went to court over it, so it's in those court files.
He used it in a civil proceeding against me when he filed a restraining order. I didn't even know anyone else had this photo.
"But that was the beginning when I really started pushing to turn Charlie and the others in for espionage," Allison Guerriero commented .
