Prime Minister Rama from Pogradeci, where he held a meeting with all the mayors, has warned that the day may come when we may face a lack of energy since Albania has not been able to buy the necessary amount. However, he emphasized that the government will continue funding from the state budget so that the bill of citizens is not affected.
"It was sold at 492.7 euros, the ceiling price was 600 euros. Today it was sold between 90 and 98 euros. What happened today is that we did not manage to buy the entire amount that we needed. This is the necessary challenge. Who says I want investments, should bear in mind that this terrible difference between 90 and 600 will be paid by the state budget that small businesses do not pay. I have said since the first day that if the day comes that we will have to touch the energy and let's say the bill goes up there they will begin to understand what this time we live in means and the fact that this is not happening is because our government is not letting it happen. The moment this horrible thing that we face every morning will come seeing the prices increase, and it will be put into the house, all the others will be forgotten. This takes your breath away", said Rama.
The Prime Minister said that a plan has been prepared to cut electricity.
"The plan of cuts has been prepared. We are even talking about total cuts in energy supplies. We have made this plan, but it is an emergency. People must start saving. Why do the lights need to be turned on now? The owner here does not get the bill he deserves that if he came, he would also read the books by the street neon at dinner. This is what we have to deal with. You also have to get involved. Not only when you ask for double bridges, understand that the vision is the right but not the moment, but also to sensitize people.
Have you seen the electricity bills in the municipality? Look at them. "We're not saying to turn off the lights in the prime minister even when there is no crisis, but the mentality of living in difficult times must be cultivated so that we can do what we can," said Rama.
