An immigrant, who came from Italy to protest in the square, stressed that Albanian citizens should no longer allow Prime Minister Edi Rama, whom she described as a criminal, to sell land and plunder the country.
In her speech, she said that they are often described as a people who do not react, but added that she sees only lions and lionesses in the square. She emphasized that everyone united will manage to make history against the government.
"They told us that we are a people of sheep, but today I see lions and lionesses. Hope has come. It has revived our hope, even for those of us who are far away. We are here for you. So that one day we can all return together and we ask you with all our hearts not to give up."
"Don't let the criminal sell our lands. Don't let him divide us. We will come like a hurricane like we always have. We will make history all together," she said.
The immigrant also conveyed a message to the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, as she said:
"Mrs. Meloni, are you still sure that your brother (Rama) is a good boy?"
