Prime Minister Edi Rama says the time has come for a national operator of the water distribution system. Criticism of UKT in Tirana.

"Here we need a reform, all kinds of experiences lead us to the conclusion that it is time for a national operator of the water distribution system, which addresses a vital issue, such as the issue of water supply. Can you imagine a water supply director's office with 30 advisors, with 30 staff? My office doesn't even have a quarter of that. Can you imagine a UKT director with 30 people in the office. That's how it was in Tirana. There used to be a lot of surprises, there are fewer now, but there are still too many because Albania does not have the luxury of expecting everyone to do their job properly," said Rama.
