Prime Minister Edi Rama published the second episode of his podcast this Saturday. It is titled "I Love Albania" and the guest was Alice Taylor, the British journalist who has been living in Tirana for years.
She is a critic of him and in many articles she has denounced the decisions and actions of the government led by Edi Rama. The Prime Minister has told her that since she accepted the invitation, her social circle can tell her in the future that he "corrupted her".
"Alice Taylor is a resident of Tirana, in love with Albania, but very strict with the government", says Rama, while continuing "You took this step, you came here to meet the devil. Do you think now even more that they can tell you to buy, corrupt, take you for themselves, cast a spell on you, you are no longer ours?", asks Rama.
Meanwhile, the British journalist says that she liked the invitation and decided to go to the podcast to confront Rama, about the critical writings. She even says that it would be foolish not to accept.
“Did I say I agree with everything you said? I was intrigued by your invitation and liked the fact that you wanted to confront some of the critical things I had written. I think it would be silly to say no," Taylor replies.
Edi Rama also asks Taylor about her stay in Albania, as she initially stayed in our country for a few days, but since then it has been five years.
"In 5 and a half years, there have been a lot of changes. Some of them are better, some of them… I write because I have a strong sense of social justice. If I see something that upsets me, it upsets me deeply, because I want to raise my daughter here, I want to grow old here", says the journalist.
The prime minister also "teased" him about England, when he asked him if he ever loved his country. " If I think of England, I think of grey. When I think of Albania, I think of red, yellow, green, blue. It's a completely different place ," said Alice Taylor.
