The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, has accused Rithemelimin, but also the Gazment Bardhi group, of playing with double standards.

"They pretend to insult each other during the day and make bargains at night so that they don't open the lists", said Basha a few hours after Gazment Bardhi, Flamur Noka and others prevented the meeting of the bipartisan electoral reform commission.

According to Basha, Rithemelimi, Bardhi's group and Edi Rama are all in one mind, lining up against the open lists, which have been proposed by the official PD.

"The theater of electoral reform with the help of the director of this show, Edi Ramës, has taken on ridiculous dimensions this week. Have you heard any questions this week to political actors if they are in favor of open lists, if they are for electronic voting, if they are for a constituency, and to say that this debate has not happened all this week is a coincidence. There is a conspiracy by Edi Rama and the Socialist Party and others with whom they pretend to be insulting during the day and make bargains at night so that they do not have the lists open. In the function of this conspiracy, what is called smoke and mirrors takes place. According to the Electoral Code, elections take place in the spring of next year and now is the time for an electoral system. In 24 hours of making the media rounds, everything is discussed except these issues. Trying to get us out of these issues somewhere with smoke and mirrors and some show like this morning's isn't going to bring us back. Open lists, equality of votes, so Albania is an electoral area. Therefore, shows like today's, even if they are not fully coordinated, serve only those who do not want electoral reform. This is a trap that the Democratic Party will not be able to easily fall into. Edi Rama knows that with this Code he cannot go to the elections."

Basha justified the absence of the democratic co-chairman Enkelejd Alibeaj in the election reform commission meeting, saying that there was a Rama-Nikolla scenario, to create the next clash between the democrats. According to the head of the official DP, the scheme would be the same as the one in the Education and Media Commission, where the Bardhi-Noka duo clashed with the democratic chairwoman Flutura Açka.

"It is the duty of the government to guarantee the functionality of the commission, Nikolla and Rama had a plan to create a clash like what happened two days ago and then rub hands. They have Alibeaj's request in writing to guarantee the functionality of the commission, we are not even the police and guards, it is the responsibility of the Assembly to guarantee the functionality of the Electoral Reform Commission. I don't like the Reform, they want to say we don't do it because of the opposition, but we don't become part of this game."

After that, he did not spare criticism for his former colleagues, accusing Bardhi and Noka of taking revenge on a lady two days ago, but today they appeared side by side with Damian Gjinkuri.

"Two days ago, they attacked two female MPs with words, gestures and insults, while today they behaved like old friends towards Gjiknur. Why didn't they block the conference of presidents?! On the contrary, when Açka came out and said he didn't receive an announcement, they took Nikolla's announcement, and they became spokespersons. Yesterday they attacked Açka, today as a bride side by side with Gjiknur beating their shoulders because they have the same interest.. These are facts and my invitation, facing these facts, to stick to the debate in the interest of the public, not personal ones. They themselves eat plums and want us to numb our teeth. It's skinned theater."
