The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, held a reception at the Presidency on the occasion of the 113th anniversary of the declaration of Albania's Independence this Friday evening, November 28.

During his speech, President Begaj emphasized the importance of a new political culture and the commitment of every institution and citizen to national priorities that move the country forward.

"We need a new political culture, to focus on our national priorities that move the country forward," he said, adding: " In this European journey, every reform matters, every institution has a responsibility, and every citizen has a role."

"Independence today is not measured only by history, but also by standards, functional justice, the dignity that the state guarantees to all citizens and love for the homeland. We are proud of the strategic partnership with the USA ," said Begaj.

President Begaj further stated: " 113 years ago, our ancestors left us a precious legacy: to preserve our identity, strengthen our state and defend our freedom. We need the courage of Vlora in 1912."

The reception comes as part of the celebrations for November 28 and commemorates the sacrifices of the generations that brought independence and founded the Albanian state.
