The Supreme Court has set the date of April 9 for the court hearing on the request of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha for the removal of the "house arrest" measure.

At 1:30 p.m. on this date, a Criminal Panel with judge Sokol Binaj as relator will examine the appeal made by the former prime minister in the Counseling Chamber.

In the Supreme Court, Berisha requests the annulment of the decision of the First Instance and the Special Appeal for the tightening of the security measure against him in "house arrest".

The former prime minister under investigation for "corruption" has been in this position since December 30 of last year.

A few days ago, the Special Court of Appeal rejected his request to participate in the plenary sessions in the Assembly, in function of his mandate as a deputy.
