Interior Minister Taulant Balla said today that the big anti-drug operation "Tempulli", launched since September 2023, has borne its fruits.

According to Balla, since this period, many distributors of narcotics have been arrested in the country's schools. He adds that more than 18 kg of cocaine were also seized, protecting the health of the students.

"As of September 2023, "Tempulli" has a result: 1,100 people arrested/processed for attempting to sell narcotics, and about 1,600 kg of cannabis, over 18 kg of cocaine, 12 kg of heroin, etc. have been seized," he said.

Balla congratulated the Tirana Police and Prosecutor's Office for the systematic attacks on attempts to introduce narcotics from abroad through the mail.

"We will do everything to fulfill the expectations of parents and grandparents so that the temple of knowledge, the school, remains safe and we do not allow the penetration of negative phenomena that affect their lives and health", said Balla.
