While Gazment Bardhi was in Shkodër to commemorate the martyrs of April 2 where the communist regime killed four young men, Sali Berisha gave the message through technology.
The former prime minister said that April 2 is dedicated to overthrowing this regime and moving towards free and fair elections with a technical government. Meanwhile, Bardhi said that the massacre is a day of reflection, courage and awareness of freedom.
April 2 is the last massacre of communism in Albania and for us, a day of reflection, courage and awareness that we must fight for freedom every day. When freedom is mentioned, the first city that comes to mind is Shkodra. Therefore, from Shkodra and throughout Albania, we will have to defend freedom and work to build a better Albania", writes Bardhi.
Today we honor the immortal work of the martyrs of the free vote, the sons of Shkodra, Arben Broci, Bujar Bishanaku, Nazmir Kryeziu and Besmir Ceka who fell to become immortal in a protest against the robbery of the vote by the last communist dictator, Ramiz Alia and his clique. Peaceful protesters surrounded the building of the crime party on that day, April 2, 1991, convinced that it was the designer, organizer and executor of the vote and election theft act.
But, to their peaceful protest, the dictator Ramiz Alia and his phalanxes in Shkodër responded with volleys, from which the 4 martyrs of April 2 fell to become immortal and 87 other citizens were injured in the streets and squares of the city. Dear friends, Artan Broci, Bujar Bishanaku, Nazmir Kryeziu and Besmir Ceka fell in the flower of their youth, but their sacrifice turned into light, on the path of Albanians for free elections.
The massacre of the communist regime in Shkodër echoed like barbarism in the four corners of the planet. The European Parliament, the US Congress, the governments of friendly countries, saw in that massacre the true face of the regime that claimed to be accepting pluralism. Today, after 33 years, we honor and will forever honor the work of the martyrs of April 2.
But we must be realistic, this year, for the first time since that date, we honor them with our heads down. Because again in May of last year, the descendants of the Hodgist blockmen, Edi Rama and his suite stole the vote and the victory from Shkodra. But this time it was not the phalanxes of the State Security, but the phalanxes of the most vicious, most hated crime of Shkodra and Albania.
Edi Rama, as Ramiz Alia used the political police in 1991, used the famous Bajrat, Gjokat and other serial killers to defeat and violate the will of the citizens of Shkodra, which was never defeated by any dictatorship or occupation. In this context, we are infinitely obliged to the ideals and sacrifices of the martyrs of April 2. Dear friends, today Edi Rama has in his black hands at least 10 percent more power than Ramiz Alia had in 1991. Today he controls all powers.
Edi Rama does not have a secret police like Ramiz Alia had, but he has a terrible alliance with organized crime in Shkodër and the whole country, with which he terrifies free citizens and controls them.
Edi Rama, like Ramiz Alia, makes great efforts to eliminate the opposition. Edi Rama is today a representative of a regime that has emptied Albania more than any other regime in its entire history. Which has emptied Shkodra more than any other regime in its entire history.
Therefore, this day of the sublime sacrifice, of the martyrdom of Arben Broci, Bujar Bishanak, Nazmir Kryeziu and Besmir Ceka, is a day of consecration, it is a day of call for every democrat to guarantee the free vote of Albanians. To topple this regime and move towards free and fair elections with a technical government.
Once again, eternal tribute to the work, the immortal sacrifice of the martyrs of April 2. The greatest tribute to their families, Shkodra, Rozafa, the freedom of the Albanians .
