Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has made a new request to GJKKO for replacing the security measure. Berisha requested the removal of the house arrest measure.
The session is taking place today at GJKKO, while the two lawyers, Genc Gjokutaj and Sokol Mêngjesi, have also arrived.
From December 30, 2023, Sali Berisha is under house arrest, a measure determined by the Special Court, following the request of SPAK.
Former Prime Minister Berisha, under investigation by SPAK, is accused of having taken concrete actions in passing laws and by-laws, to favor his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, one of the owners of the land where the sports complex was located, on which he then built 19 towers.
