The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said today, February 21, during an online conversation with citizens that the February 20 protest was a day of triumph.

"Yesterday was a day of triumph for the undefeated peaceful insurgents, who faced tooth and nail for 3 hours with the narco-state in an epic battle against the illegal government of Tirana, against Edi Rama, Lubi Balluku, their electoral farce, their unrestrained thefts," said Berisha.

He stated that all means of violence were used in the opposition protest. He emphasized that even teenagers and minors tried

"I condemn with the greatest force police violence and terror. I condemn the selective shooting of citizens, one of them in the back of the head, the deputy leader of the DP and MP Luciano Boçi in the chest and others with rubber bullets, etc.," he said.

Berisha also condemned, according to him, the attack on the Democratic Party headquarters.  

"I guarantee Rama that attacks on the DP headquarters will bring annihilating attacks on the headquarters of the criminal party throughout the country. Give up the adventures and low provocation. We have a battle with Rama as the head of the criminal organization, if you attack the DP headquarters, the DP will respond to you as you deserve," said Berisha.

Regarding those escorted, Berisha said that among them there are people who have never participated in protests. He also condemned the behavior of some of the police.

"They have behaved in an illegal and hooligan manner, they have behaved like patronizers and real criminals," said Berisha.
