The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, had a message for the protesters after leaving the blue headquarters.

"The most boundless gratitude to you, the citizens, men and women, young men and women, who today, February 20, repeated in one form or another, February 20, 1991. Of course, if the statue of Satan on its pedestal in Skanderbeg Square, the bust of his successor, were not even in Albania.

"But this did not prevent you from demonstrating the greatest determination. It did not prevent you from facing tooth and nail with criminal phalanxes that used the most illegal means against peaceful insurgents," he said.

He then focused on the incident involving Democrat Senada Mehmeti, or according to him, "the blow to the head, the stun grenades against DP supporters."

He called "Edi Rama's escalation towards peaceful protesters" unprecedented.

"They threw gas canisters into the territory of the Democratic Party. The DP headquarters was attacked, in retaliation. I give my word of honor that if he dares to attack this headquarters, I tell Edi Rama, it is a great effort for us to contain the citizens and their attacks on the headquarters of crime. They are ready at any moment to make them non-existent. Therefore, do not express your paternal hatred towards pluralism by throwing smoke bombs and gas canisters into the headquarters! We do not tolerate you!", was his appeal to the head of government.

Berisha accused the security forces of firing tear gas on several floors of the mosque, when there were many believers inside.

"They threw smoke bombs and gas on different floors of the mosque, while the believers were praying. They filled the mosque with tear gas. May God kill them. For this ugly crime, they are the descendants of their barbaric fathers," said Berisha.

"I call on Muslim believers to condemn this ugly act. Our peaceful protest will not stop, but will do everything to exclude any action with the opponent, just so that they do not disrupt the prayer," added the democratic leader.

He warned that there will be another national protest that he said "will be the biggest."

In the end, he thanked the protesters, describing them as brave people who defeated "the great evil, the regime of Edi Rama."

"I tell you, you wretched ones, your time is over. Now is the time of citizens, of civic courage and their responsibility. I know that you, as indomitable fighters, are eagerly awaiting the next act of our peaceful uprising. We will announce it very soon, it will be national, it will be the most powerful. Once again, boundless gratitude to you, congratulations to the brave people who defeated the great evil, the regime of Edi Rama, in the squares and streets of Tirana," he said.
