The leader of the Euro-Atlantic Democrats, Lulzim Basha, says that corruption is the most serious problem in Albania today.
He has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama's government of this, saying that it is turning the campaign into a "mockery" as he is mired in corruption along with his ministers.
Basha also ironized the opening of the SP campaign in Tirana, where socialist ministers and MPs were seen dancing in "Skënderbej" Square, saying that Rama brought out his friends to dance, since his friends are in prison.
"Your silicone was shaking, your expensive clothes were shaking," one person who had a 1,500 euro belt told me. His friends are in prison, he took his friends out to dance there. Will this solve it? Let's deal with the government, because this has been going on for 12 years.
I didn't support Rama, you, the media, supported him. Even with Kosovo, if you look at it, you are for a black face, media freedom. The problem is corruption, poverty, prices. Who is corruption fought with, with friends in prison or with friends who were shaking there and shaking Botox, with 2000 euro clothes", Basha said on the show "The Unexposed".
