Interior Minister Taulant Balla has today introduced the new head of the Police Surveillance Agency, Florian Sulejmani.

During his speech, Balla said that police officers who will be found to have used the coded applications "SKY" and Encro Chat" will be excluded from the State Police, if they do not declare it in a special self-declaration form.

"To give the State Police organization the dignity and respect it deserves in society. Regarding the phenomenon of coded applications, I requested that the verification of use by police officers be part of the self-declaration form. In case of false declaration, they will be immediately expelled from the State Police. The vetting process in the State Police is a very important process, whoever withdraws from this process, no longer has a place in the Sheti Police.

We opened a public competition procedure for the selection of the candidate. I want to thank all those who were involved in this process and all the many candidates for the trust they gave to this process", declared Balla.

Even the new head of AMP, Sulejmani, promised that he will work to bring to justice those police officers who are related to organized crime and criminal groups.

He also announced the drafting of a form where police officers will declare whether they have used coded messages, which have often been used in the past by criminal groups operating in Albania and abroad.

"We will prepare a form where police officers will declare whether they have access to the "SKY" and "ENCRO" applications. In this way, we will identify everyone who had access", said Sulejmani.
