Interior Minister Taulant Balla says that only during the month of October, 25 people involved in the cultivation and trafficking of cannabis were arrested and prosecuted.

As part of the "Focus" mega-operation, during this period of time, 11,729 roots of the cannabis sativa plant planted throughout the country were destroyed.

Balla has also distributed footage of police actions.

"The State Police continues to systematically attack groups and criminal activities related to the cultivation and distribution of narcotics. Thanks to the national operation "Focus" during October 2023, 25 people were arrested/processed and 11,729 cannabis sativa narcotic plants were destroyed. "Criminal activities of cultivating narcotics in closed environments have also been discovered," Balla declares.
