Very few new names, returns and 'veterans' who have 'concreted' their seats in the Assembly. This is the panorama of the new parliamentary group of the Democratic Party.

Based on preliminary results from the Central Election Commission, the Democratic Party failed to exhaust the closed list in several districts, such as Vlora, Fier and Elbasan.

With the start of the new legislature in September, the Democrats will be fewer in numbers, but the approach after the election defeat shows that the parliamentary climate will be as tense as it was in the 4 years we are leaving behind.

TIRANA DISTRICT

The Tirana district comes with two new names: Tedi Blushi (PL) and Besart Xhaferi will each have one seat in the Assembly. Meanwhile, there are no shortage of returns, as in the case of Jozefina Topalli, who has led this institution for 8 years, or Belind Këlliçi and Klevis Balliu. Berisha loyalists, Noka and Vokshi reconfirm their mandates, as do the DP allies.

DURRA DISTRICT

The Durrës region has been reformatted, where apart from Oerd Bylykbashi who will be a deputy again, the other 5 names in the Assembly are "new". Artan Luku, Manjola Luli, Gent Strazimiri, Igli Cara and Arjan Ndoja were not part of the lists for deputies in 2021.

ELBASAN DISTRICT

The Elbasan district has also undergone changes, where there is no representative from the 2021 list for the next 4 years. The Democrats received a catastrophic result in this district, where they failed to even exhaust the closed list, losing 2 mandates, out of the 6 they received in 2021, the Democrats will now only have 4 representatives.

FIER COUNTY

As in Elbasan, in Fier, the Democrats suffered a deep defeat, where they will now be represented by only 4 MPs. Luan Baçi and Saimir Korreshi managed to survive from 2021, while the list is completed with political leader Gazment Bardhi and ally from the Freedom Party, Brunilda Haxhiu.

VLORA DISTRICT

In Vlora, the Democrats are not experiencing any changes. Bujar Leskaj and Ina Zhupa managed to retain their seat for the new legislature, and together with them, the district will be represented by their ally Vangjel Dule, who won the mandate in Tirana in 2021.

GJIROKASTAR DISTRICT

Gjirokastra has not seen any changes for years now. Tritan Shehu seems to have taken root and will represent the residents of this district for another 4 years as the only democrat.

KORÇA DISTRICT

In Korça, Ivi Kaso as political leader, along with Ledina Alolli and Fidel Kreka, join Bledjon Nallbat, who managed to secure another mandate.

BERAT DISTRICT

Eno Bozdo and Zija Ismaili will be the new names that will represent the Democrats in the Berat district, taking the places of Tomor Alizoti and Kasëm Mahmutaj.

DIBAR DISTRICT

In Dibër, the Democrats will have one fewer MP, now represented only by Xhelal Mziu and Denisa Vata. Dhurata Çupi and Kreshnik Çollaku, who ran in Tirana but failed to win a mandate, will remain outside the Assembly.

LEZHA DISTRICT

The Lezha district will not have any changes in representation, as only Lindita Metaliaj remains out and her vacant seat is filled by Gjin Gjoni, a former judge who managed to win the mandate of deputy on an open list.

KUKA DISTRICT

There have been no changes in Kukës for a long time, where the mandates have been cemented in Flamur Hoxha and Isuf Çelaj.

SHKODRA DISTRICT

In Shkodra, the Democrats will be represented by Luciano Boçi, who is also the political leader in the region. Kliti Hoti will also take a seat for the first time. Bardh Spahia will return to the Assembly.
