The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, received the "Golden Eagle" award in Tirana, at the Diaspora Summit ceremony in commemoration of Arbëresh Day.

During his speech after receiving the award, Abazovic said that this award should be a symbol of cooperation and love between Albanians around the world.

"When we decided for the first time for the joint meeting of the governments of Albania and Montenegro and our proposal was how to make an eagle, and that eagle could be golden," he said.

"The golden eagle unites the two countries and creates a bridge of cooperation. I hope that the golden eagle and the eagle of the nation will be a symbol of love, cooperation and the future among all Albanians in the EU", said Abazovic.
