The Embassy of Great Britain in Tirana has expressed concern about the recent developments in the Parliament of Albania, where for several sessions in a row the work of this institution has been blocked due to the chaos caused by the opposition.

In a response, the British Embassy calls on the majority and the opposition to work together to ensure that parliament can exercise its oversight role and act in the interest of all citizens.

"The British Embassy in Tirana expresses its concern regarding the latest developments in the Parliament of Albania. A functioning parliament and constructive dialogue between elected representatives are essential to guarantee legislation and services effectively.

We call on the majority and the opposition to work together to ensure that the parliament can exercise its supervisory role and act in the interest of all citizens", says the reaction of the British Embassy.
