The coach of the national team, Silvinjo, is the youngest citizen of Albania. The Brazilian coach of the Rossoneri has been provided with an Albanian passport.
"We are here at the Albanian Diaspora Summit. I have next to me the last Albanian who accepted to be our citizen", said the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla.
Afterwards, Silvinjo says: "Of course, Albanian cigar." Thank you very much."
There are also jokes with the head of the government, Edi Rama, where the latter leaves no alternative choice: "It's a fait accompli. You have no other choice."
Meanwhile, today on Arbëresh Day and the Diaspora Summit, Prime Minister Edi Rama presented the national team coach Silvinjo with the 'Golden Eagle' award, as according to him he is an "Albanian in the making".
Among the jokes, the prime minister said that Silvinjo is the first person to be honored with the golden eagle award without being an Albanian, and among the jokes he told him that he has no choice but to accept the Albanian nationality.
"Good evening!", said Silvinjo, while Rama said that the national team coach did this greeting the same as the people from Arbëresh.
"First of all, I wanted to thank all the football players of the Albanian national team. Without forgetting, of course, the staff of the federation. Thank you to everyone, without you it would not have been possible to be here and receive this award, which for me is a great honor", said Silvinjo.
