Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the extraordinary press conference where he explained why he took the decision to cancel the joint meeting with the government of Kosovo, also answered a question about the international sanctions that he warned.

Asked if Albania and he are preempting the sanctions of the Euro-Atlantic community, about which he warned Pristina, Rama objected, but emphasized that as the prime minister of the country he cannot not react when Kosovo is on fire.

"No, not at all because I said that I have been looking to meet him for several days. Been busy I understand. But we are not in the conditions where we can have a meeting like UFO. Albania is not a UFO at least, it is an inseparable part of the Euro-Atlantic unit. That's why we can't do theater, with an agreement on agriculture and livestock, while Kosovo is burning slowly but it is burning in its international reputation with those who created it as a state", said Rama.

Rama also underlined that "nothing happens" if Albin Kurti does not agree to hold the narrowest format meeting that he has persistently requested, only that it should be said according to him that "life continues badly for Kosovo unfortunately".

"Not at all good even for the Prime Minister of Kosovo", said Rama.

Rama said that there is no chance for Tirana to move from the international axis.

"It is not about the master of the problem because the problem is Kosovo's. But it also belongs to the Albanians. The problem does not belong to the Prime Minister, the problem belongs to the citizens of Kosovo, to Kosovo and to all Albanians.

Second, we have a lot of problems because Albania is not a UFO, it does not operate in isolation and Albania's relationship with Kosovo is a brotherly relationship, but Albania is a country that is an inseparable part of the Euro-Atlantic community, it is a member of NATO and does not have no chance for Albania to move from the axis of the Euro-Atlantic community, moreover we think not 99 but 100% the same as our allies think in this case. When some of the partners told Albini and the Kosovo authorities not to hold the elections in the north, I was 100% with Albini that they should be held", Rama emphasized.

Thus, Rama has responded to both Albin Kurti and Aleksandër Vučič for the draft statute proposed by him for a solution to the conflict in the north of Kosovo with the Serbian population.

Rama said that he does not expect anything from Serbian President Vucic, but he expects Kurti to at least look at the draft.

"I don't expect the President of Serbia to say well done, nor to accept it. I don't expect from him. At least the Prime Minister of Kosovo says ok, let's see. What's wrong? Take a look, you never know. I assure you that it's top, that I didn't write it, it was made by the world's highest level experts. Those who received it in Paris, Brussels, Washington have only good words. There is a psychological obstacle that has to do with the nature of all politics made by the two", said Rama.
