The Socialists have decided to send the issue of the mandate of the former foreign minister Olta Xhaçka to the constitutional court.
In an unexpected move, the socialist deputies in the legislation council declared that the court's decision should be implemented and the parliament in the next meeting should vote in favor of sending the mandate of their colleague Xhaçka to the constitution.
But this move, according to Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, is not a change in the positions of the SP, as she added that the majority is dealing with the procedures and not with proper names.
" With the disclosure of the decision of the Constitutional Court, the PD group was asked to call a special session. A decision was made yesterday and it was explained that a hearing was scheduled for the 12th to recognize the decision. There was no change in attitudes and there were no changes in reports. Proper nouns should not be used in this way. A legal path has been followed and we will come to a conclusion, which has nothing to do with the proper name, but with the procedures ," said Balluku.
