Have Rama-Vučić relations cooled? Here's what Spiropali says
Minister Elisa Spiropali on Top News

Have relations between Prime Minister Edi Rama and Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić been called into question? This was the question that moderator Grida Duma asked the new Foreign Minister, Elisa Spiropali.

She refused to answer directly. But she said that Albania today is clear about its relationship with its neighbors.

According to Spiropali, Albania today is the most reliable partner of the European Union and NATO in the region.

Spiropali: Relations between prime ministers, Rama, others in the region. These are relations that cannot be conditioned by what you think. We have these neighbors. How has Albania acted? Albania is the most trusted partner of NATO and the EU. Albania is not seen today with the eyes of a country that does not know what relationship it has with its neighbors.

Duma: But Serbia receives much more funding from the EU. Serbia has always received a treatment like we should keep it safe, keep it inside so it doesn't escape to Russia.

Spiropali: Serbia is where it is because of its internal policies, because it does not recognize ethnic cleansing, because of the rhetoric it holds. That is why Albania and Montenegro are precursors for EU membership. Yes, I think we have the opportunity to influence more for Kosovo, like maintaining sanctions from the EU, which is absurd.
