Voices of discord / PD of Vlora: We support the independent candidate Dionis

The Democratic Party of Albania and its branch in Vlora declared this Monday their full support for independent candidate Dionis Sota in the local by-elections.

Through a statement on social media, the head of the DP branch in Vlora, Hysni Sharra, emphasized that this is an unequivocal support and that Sota's candidacy represents the right solution to the problems that, according to him, have been caused by the long rule of the Socialist Party.

"The Democratic Party of Albania, the Vlora Branch of the Democratic Party and its allies are in this local by-election campaign alongside the independent candidate, Mr. Dionis Sota," declared Sharra.

According to him, Sota's program, honesty, and dedication are the guarantee for a real change in the local government of Vlora.

"We believe that the candidate, the program, honesty and commitment to the fastest and most sustainable solution to the problems that 'Rilindja' and the 27-year rule of the Socialist Party have caused Vlora, will be the main theme of this campaign," the head of the local DP added.

In his statement, Sharra did not spare accusations against individuals who, according to him, are attempting to divide the opposition through alternative candidacies.

"Any speculation, agreement or 'candidate' of certain persons supposedly on behalf of the opposition is charlatanism, adventure and, of course, service to Rama and his corrupt and criminal government," Sharra concluded.
