The State Police has reacted again to the protest, denouncing the escalation of violence against officers and the destruction of public and private property by fire.

Through an appeal to protesters, the police are asking for distancing from violent acts and warning that those responsible will face the law, with sentences that can reach up to 7 years in prison for certain offenses.

Police reaction:

Given the escalation of violence against Police officers and the destruction of public and private property by fire, the State Police makes repeated and strong calls to all participants in the rally to maintain self-restraint and calm, as well as to immediately and clearly distance themselves from persons who commit acts of violence, arson and attacks against Police officers.

The State Police requests that every participant not join, support, or allow the rally to be used as a cover for violent and destructive acts. Any person who uses violence, burns or destroys property, or attacks Police officers, bears individual responsibility and will face the law, in accordance with the offense committed.

The Criminal Code provides for sentences of up to 7 years in prison for certain offenses related to violence and destruction of property by fire, depending on the circumstances and consequences caused.

Violent acts and the destruction of property by fire directly endanger the lives of citizens, as well as public and private property.

Immediately distance yourself from violence, stay away from people who commit violent acts, and do not engage in actions that endanger people's lives! Maintaining peace and security is everyone's responsibility.

The right to protest is guaranteed, but violence and destruction are not part of it. Any violation of the law will be dealt with decisively and each individual will be held accountable for their actions.
