A vehicle has ended up in a canal on the Tirana-Durres highway, near the "Dajlan Bridge", while it is suspected that it was trying to evade the Traffic Police.

The driver of the vehicle did not obey the police signal to stop.

Police services were put in pursuit of the vehicle, but during the pursuit, the car went off the road and ended up in a canal, reports Top Channel correspondent Vali Qyrfyçi.

Firefighters intervened and extricated the driver and sent him to the hospital. It was previously stated that the driver was intoxicated.
