The State Police informs that today an electronic message (email) was identified, sent to several institutional addresses, which contains threats to place explosives and commit terrorist acts.

Preliminary verifications show that the message was sent from an email address belonging to an educational institution in Saudi Arabia.

The method of sending this message bears similarities to previous cases, when similar threatening messages were sent from compromised email addresses belonging to students of educational institutions abroad.

State Police structures are carrying out the necessary verifications and investigative actions to determine the origin and authenticity of the message, to fully clarify the circumstances of the case, as well as to identify the persons responsible for sending it.
