Montenegro accuses Belgrade of destabilizing the country

Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic raises suspicions about Belgrade's political influence through Montenegrin media.

His party is demanding a parliamentary investigation to find out whether Serbian companies M-tel and the Alta financial group used ties to Montenegrin television stations to influence their reporting,

"Current developments in the country and the region confirm the seriousness and quality of the information that our and our security partner services have, which I warned about at the end of August," the Montenegrin prime minister wrote on the X network. 

He demanded that institutions reveal who has protected the interests of Montenegro and who, according to him, has relied on the center of power in other countries, using illegal means to threaten the country's stability and obstruct the path to the European Union.

These developments come after the warning Spajic made on August 27, when he stated that security services had information about a possible coordinated operation against Montenegro by regional actors.
