Renowned Turkish actress Afra Saraçoglu was escorted by gendarmerie forces at Istanbul airport, immediately after her return from France.

Her arrest was made as part of a broad investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office into the use, facilitation and provision of narcotics, which involved several well-known figures in the Turkish film and art world.

After questioning, the actress will be sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine to undergo relevant biological tests (blood, urine and hair analysis).

A total of 15 people were detained during this investigation. Among them, well-known names such as actors Aras Bulut Iynemli and Melis Sezen, as well as rapper Sefo, were released after biological samples were taken at the Forensic Medicine Department.

Meanwhile, jewelry businessman Sayat Zurnaci and music producer Aytaç Kart were arrested by court order. On the other hand, actress Nilperi Sahinkaya and former Turkish national football player Hasan Sas were released under judicial control.
