The new trend of radical environmentalist organizations seems to be the destruction of artistic masterpieces.

Two German activists have been arrested after they seriously damaged one of the masterpieces of Impressionism, "Les Meules" (The Mills), by throwing a substance that the authorities determined to be mashed potatoes, while it was in the Potsdam museum in Germany.

Activists managed to share on Twitter before the arrest the video of the attack, as well as their appeal for awareness of climate change.

According to the authorities, the value of the damage has not yet been determined for a work that just a short time ago was sold at an auction in New York for the amount of 110.7 million dollars.

Painted in 1890 by landscape master Claude Monet, the work set an all-time record for the Impressionist movement.

The attack on the "Mullars" was preceded a few days ago by something similar, this time in London.

There, activists of "Just Stop Oil" attacked with tomato sauce the masterpiece "Luledielli", exhibited in the National Gallery.

In that case, at least the painting of the Dutch genius was protected by a glass, luckily Monet's work was not.
