American actor and comedian Leslie Jordan has died at the age of 67.

The star, known for his roles on "Will and Grace" and "American Horror Story," died in a fatal car accident in Los Angeles on Monday.

The actor died instantly after his car crashed into a building.

His publicist said the world had become a "darker place" with his loss. "Knowing that he left the world at the peak of his professional and personal life is the only consolation one can have today," said David Shaul.

The actor gained the most fame when he starred in the series "Will and Grace".

In this series he starred as Beverley Leslie – a role for which he won a Primetime Emmy in 2006. Leslie was famous for other TV shows such as “Hearts Afire”, “The Cool Kids”, “Call Me Kat” and “ American Horror Story”. He also played in films like "The Help" and "Ski Patrol" etc.
