King Charles III is selling some of the racehorses he inherited from his mother the Queen.
Elizabeth II was obsessed with racehorses as well as a very good rider.
This Monday Tattersalls auction house in Newmarket said it would sell 14 of the Queen's horses.
"It is nothing unusual. Every year they will sell horses. The queen had her own mares, she raised them and sold them. You can't keep it all," Tattersall spokesman Jimmy George.
George stated that the sale of the Queen's horses did not symbolize the end of the royal family's association with racing.
"Every year the owners sell shares. His Majesty is only doing what the owners do," he further added.
