Teacher filmed herself having sex with student, sentenced to 15 years in prison

A 27-year-old teacher has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in Michigan after being found guilty of having an illicit relationship with a 16-year-old student.

According to judicial authorities, she admitted to committing the act in 2023, while the case became public later after she confessed the act to a colleague in 2025. Investigations confirmed that the relationship had occurred while she was a teacher at a school in the area.

The court stressed that the abuse of trust and professional position towards a minor constitutes a serious violation of the law. It was also reported that she had filmed the incident, which was considered an aggravating factor during the trial.

The defense attorney argued that his client had mental health problems and described the incident as "a serious error of judgment," while the court imposed a long-term prison sentence.
