The democratic politician, Lulzim Basha, released a video with his statements about the former deputy Jurgis Çyrbja, who was arrested two days ago by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office for several criminal offenses.

He is accused of debunking police operations for his criminal friends.

"Crime chose Jurgis Çyrbe in 2017. Jurgis Çyrbe was chosen by crime in 2021. But crime would not have been able to choose him without the blessing of Edi Rama, who entered and kept him on the list. Because Rama wanted power for himself and not for the Albanians", writes Lulzim Basha.

As can be seen in the video he published, since 2018 he has repeatedly denounced Jurgis Çyrbjan, considering him a member of the gang of Emiljano Shullazi, who with the blessing of the prime minister became a member of the Parliament of Albania.

"Edi Rama's deputy, with his blessing, debunked the actions of the police, serving the persons announced as wanted internationally, to escape arrest by the police. In return, these persons provided him with voters to support him as a candidate for the deputy in Durrës District", the reaction continues.


Lulzim Basha says that his opposition colleagues who for three years blamed him for losing the elections should also feel ashamed. The ex-chairman of the Democratic Party demands vetting of the policy.

"Those oppositionists who, three years ago, rubbed Edi Rama's belly by blaming me and legitimizing the election crime in Albania, today should at least feel ashamed. For Albania to return to normality as soon as possible, it must be done the vetting of politicians and the separation of politics from crime", concludes Lulzim Basha.
