While some of the colleagues continue the official meetings in the European Parliament, a group of about 30 deputies of the Democratic Party have started the awareness campaign with MEPs at the entrance of the European Parliament.

MPs Edi Paloka, Zheni Gjergji, Lefter Gështenja, Ramadan Likaj, Flamur Hoxha, Bledion Nallbati, Edmond Spaho, Kreshnik Çollaku, Asllan Dogjani, Isuf Çela, Elda Hoti, Lindita Metaliaj, Tritan Shehu, Sorina Koti, Kastriot Piroli, Tomor Alizoti, Dhurata Çupi, Qani Xhafa, Xhelal Mziu, Dashnor Sula, Saimir Korreshi, Ilda Dhori, Ludovik Hasanaj, Kasem Mahmutaj, and Petrit Doda, have informed their European colleagues of the facts of the political arrest of the President of the DP and the Leader of the Opposition Sali Berisha, demanded close monitoring of the situation and his immediate release.

With the arrest of Sali Berisha, the leader of the opposition, the democratic deputies explain that the intention is to violate the equality of the parties in the elections. "We are in an election year, and justice is being used to hit all the leaders of the opposition, so that Edi Rama can compete with himself and hold power with violence" - say the democratic deputies.

Considering the war that Edi Rama has announced to the Democratic Party, through political imprisonments, as a political revenge, the democratic deputies, in an unprecedented act, have chosen this original and special form, to draw the attention of the MEPs, to the situation of seriously where the place is located.

Albania is a candidate country for membership in the European Union, but the democrats accuse Prime Minister Edi Rama of executing the rule of law, destroying the balance between powers, and eliminating free elections.

For DP deputies, based also on the data made public by the criminal investigations of the SKY/ECC wiretapping in the case of the former socialist deputy Jurgys Çyrbja, Albania is the only country in Europe that is governed by indisputable evidence of organized crime, to the point that criminal organizations even dictate the seats of MP candidates on the SP list.
