Investigation: How MILLIONAIRES buy escorts at the Cannes festival: 50 THOUSAND
The escort

It's known for its star-studded red carpet and award-winning film premieres, but the Cannes Film Festival hides something else behind all the glitz.

A new investigation has revealed where the activity is home to a secret escort ring where girls are bought and sold via WhatsApp by billionaire Arab, Russian and American businessmen.

Their agents are using this app to recruit models for their rich bosses, sometimes paying up to 50,000 euros a night.

BILD journalists found the opportunity to enter these WhatsApp groups where money is offered to girls to spend the night with rich festival attendees. According to BILD, one post said: “ We are looking for real good models, beautiful girls, amateur models. Of all nationalities, Latin favorite t”.

Another offered €10,000 to "top models" for a 1-day trip to Monaco, while a third was willing to pay "only blonde models" $10,000 a week for a yacht trip.

These WhatsApp groups ask girls to send photos along with their age and weight.

Many requests, often made by wealthy foreign businessmen, are for so-called 'image work', where models are asked to accompany guests to high-end dinners or parties.

These men allegedly pay for entire groups of women to spend the night at their star-studded parties. Girls get a bonus in exchange for sex with paying participants.

These girls are often meeting their hosts for the first time and have very little information about their relationships. Unsurprisingly, the girls often have their passports confiscated and are banned from using mobile phones during their travels, an attempt to prevent the identities of these wealthy men from becoming public.

"This is nothing but modern prostitution," said an insider. This also applies to a lot of black money, as there are no receipts. Young women are often offered 3,000 euros for a dinner, 10,000 euros for a party and 50,000 euros for a night. Last year, a Daily Mail investigation revealed that sex workers from across Europe, known as "putes de luxes" in France, flock to the annual festival to sell their bodies to luxury hotels and yachts.

Models, aspiring actresses and some Instagram influencers are invited to parties or to stay aboard superyachts, sipping champagne.

But their expectation in some cases is that the so-called "yacht girls" will have to thank their hosts by having sex with them or other guests.

Unlike WhatsApp groups, where escorts often know how much they will receive in advance, these women are often given an envelope filled with cash after their "job" is done.

One attendant, originally from Slovakia, told the Daily Mail: “ You have to be careful because hotels don't like it happening, but they can't stop it. This is the oldest industry in the world and the film business is all about glamor and excitement. Sure, people want to have sex. I pay 1k per hour, but there is a discount for 2 hours or more, and the all-night rate is 5k, but in reality, these people often only need a few minutes. Then, conversations are held for the rest of the hour if they can't be ready again. It doesn't even help when they're drunk or high. Only if they use Viagra. Money is not a problem if they can afford to stay somewhere like Le Majestic. But what they pay for is discretion. I would never reveal anyone's name "

A member of the yacht's crew told the Daily Mail that the use of these vessels for prostitution has become "much more discreet" in recent years.

" I think nobody wants to be seen openly buying or selling sex. You may want to have beautiful women on your yacht, but you don't want to look like a skinny old man taking advantage of the girls. Another factor is the sanctions against Russia because of the war in Ukraine. This means that the Russian oligarchs have disappeared from European waters. Those guys knew how to party. The term "yacht girl" also seems to have changed in recent years. I've heard it used to describe any woman who hangs out with a rich man, whether on a boat or somewhere else ."/ BILD
