Polar bears "exploring" an abandoned house, frozen life in Antarctica and magical nature on Mount Olympus, are just some of the winning images in the "Wildlife Photographer of the Year" competition. Photographers from around the world competed with different images, capturing unique moments from the wild world.
The top prize went to the American Karine Aigner with her picture called "The big buzz", a ball of bees rolling on the hot sand on a farm in Texas.

"The wings of other bees swarming over each other create a ball of buzzing bees and this moment is captured in the photo. The sense of movement and intensity is shown in the zoom of the bee and transforms the small bees into large competitors for a single bee," said chair of the jury, Rosamund Kidman Cox.
She is the fifth woman to win the major title in the pageant's 58-year history, organizers said.
The wildlife photography competition was organized by the Natural History Museum in London.
