Elia Zaharia and Princ Leka, who have been granted protection orders against each other, confirmed on January 15 that they had started divorce proceedings, after several months of rumors that they had ended their marriage. Meanwhile, on March 5, the couple physically clashed with each other inside the royal residence, a fight in which Elia Zaharia's father, Gjergj Zaharia, was also involved, images that became viral in the media. Prince Leka sued his ex-wife, with whom he has a daughter, Geraldina, and his ex-father-in-law. Also, father and daughter sued the 42-year-old for violence.

The Civil Court of Tirana signed two protection orders for Prince Leka and his ex-wife Elia Zaharia, in the divorce process. Elia Zaharia and Prince Leka are officially separated, after the Court of Tirana decided on April 25 to dissolve the marriage between the well-known couple. From the divorce agreement, the actress benefited from a 257 m2 apartment, which is in her daughter's name.

While the artist will have full ownership of a 134 m2 shop as well as a parking lot of about 47 m2. But based on an agreement that the former couple reached on January 15, 2024, if Elia Zaharia will marry again, or to start a cohabitation, will lose the rights to the properties when their daughter Geraldina will be of age. The decision also states that the actress will no longer bear the surname "Zogu", but her maiden name "Zaharia".

The agreement signed between them also defines the meetings that Prince Leka will have with Geraldine, where according to the agreement, the girl will meet with her father for 2 hours every day and will go to his house on weekends. According to the agreement, Prince Leka will pay 1,000 euros monthly as alimony towards the daughter, an amount which includes expenses for the child's daily needs and will be paid into the mother's bank account. According to the court's decision, treason was not the last reason for the well-known couple's marriage, as it was alluded to after Prince Leka's romance with the photographer Blerta Celibashi, with whom he started living together, became public.

Elia Zaharia and Princ Leka have separated due to constant conflicts, lack of communication and interruption of coexistence, facts accepted by the actress as well as the 42-year-old. The first to confirm the separation was Prince Leka on January 15, while shortly after him the actress Elia Zaharia reacted, while they did not show the reason why the couple's relationship ended. Prince's new relationship with photographer Blerta Celibashi has been hinted at as the reason for the divorce.

Meanwhile, people close to Leka have tried to deny such a fact. Erion Teli, the former head of Public Relations at the Royal Court spoke in an interview for "Canapé" about the sensational divorce. Teli reiterated that the relationship started a month and a half ago, while the marriage ended a year and a half ago. He shared his personal opinion on the reason for the couple's divorce and said that Elia Zaharia's career could have been a possible cause.

"I believe, this is my personal opinion, I cannot say anything official, it is my personal opinion that Mrs. Zaharia's career was a moment that brought about her absence in the duties she had as the former Albanian Princess. A few months ago, Prince Leka participated in a charity event in Malta, following the invitation of the Duke of Russia, George Mikhailovich and his wife, Princess Victoria. But apparently, at this event, the Prince was accompanied by his new girlfriend, the photographer Blerta Celibashi.

Although in the photos posted from the event on social networks, the Prince did not share with his followers any image with his girlfriend, it was Blerta who posted a photo in Malta. Apparently, this is the first event that after the separation from his ex-wife Elia Zaharia, Prince Leka appeared accompanied by his new partner.
