The journalist "discovers the real village": Even for a bunch of
Fiori Dardha

The well-known journalist Fiori Dardha has published a reel where she shared views from the village, while also writing a long article.

Fjori tells the stories of her relatives who live in the village and shows how much effort is behind every product that is bought in the city, the value of which is not known.

Full text:

"HOW DO YOU HAVE THE PEPPERS?"

"Times have changed Fior'. Now, when fellow villagers meet each other, they no longer ask 'HOW ARE YOU?' but 'HOW DO YOU HAVE PEPPERS, TOMATOES, WATERMELONS?' - my cousin jokingly told me yesterday, while we were talking in the yard full of flowers of her house in the village.

Those who live in the city may consider it an interesting adventure to spend a day on a farm, but LIVING IN THE COUNTRY IS A CHALLENGE IN ITSELF!

I have many relatives in the village and I know very well how difficult life is for them!

It is exhausting to work every day (waking up before dawn), to take care of the crops while defying the atmospheric conditions (winter frost and summer scorching temperatures), to finally collect the produce and with that income to provide a living.

It is not at all easy to take care of livestock. I have seen cousins who stayed up all night next to the cow, waiting for her to give birth. I have seen them shed endless tears when they have lost their calf. I have seen the alarm and
worry that is clearly read in the portrait when the lambs/kids get sick. I saw how happy they are when the eggs hatch..

Therefore, when we buy the produce of the peasants in the market and bargain for the bunch of parsley (no, give me 50 lek less, no, give me 2 bunches for 100) lek, it would be good to think that for that 100 lek, a lot of sweat has been poured a lot can!
